1920s Bristol Potteries Wash Jug
A very pretty antique wash jug made in the 1920s by Pountney & Co Ltd of Bristol in a style so evocative of its era, a design of sunflowers, hollyhocks and poppies against a background of trees on pistachio green, pink and sky blue with puffy white clouds. It stands 12” tall and has an attractive octagonal shape, and is in great condition for its considerable age. It has no chips or cracks, just some large crazing commensurate with its 100 or so years, a sturdy jug and a lovely decorative piece.
